We took a ferry from Stavanger in Norway to an outlying island called Tao, where at the side of the road I saw something similar to this because a well-known American artist told me that 'Age plus Nature equals Beauty' - and he is right if you look for it. One of my aims when painting landscapes and nature is to help people look more closely at what is around them. All too often we whizz by a world of beauty in our cars and on bikes etc. We need, in my view, to slow down a little. SOLD.
